Compared to yesterday, day two is a much more relaxed one. Golden Tours coach fetched us around 720am and we stopped to pick up other folks in 5 different hotels. Travel time to the Stonehenge area was nearly two hours.
Honestly speaking, I was surprised on how small the Stonehenge is. I was expecting massive rock structures that I would need to look up to. Although not that huge, there was this eerie feeling when you are near them. We only got to go around it because there is a premium if you want to go in. We only got the Simple Stonehenge tour. What it does is they drop you off there and leave you at Gloucester road.
We also get to try the Thames River Cruise and the London Eye. London Eye for me was just so-so. Its similar to the Singapore Flyer, only with a different view of course. Inside each capsule was a bunch of Samsung Galaxy Tabs that you can use as a guide to things you see around. It was a bit expensive at 18.90 pounds per person (around 1,230 pesos)
The highlight of the day though for me was the Portobello Road walk. It was just like in the movies! Antique shops, local crepes, modern goods. The street was not crowded as we dropped by in the afternoon already. To end the walk, we had some local fish and chips at a cozy restaurant while watching the Wimbledon match, live!
Also, we went to the Museum of Brands and Packaging. It was full of vintage stuff like soap packaging from the 40s, chocolate boxes with chocolates from the 30s and more vintage! Not for everyone but its a must for vintage-stuff lovers! I even saw toys from the late 1800s! That was it for day two. Enjoyed the last bit a lot!
After reaching our hotel in a few, we are going to the Grand Palace tonight in Brussels and going to try some old fashioned Belgian beer. Im not a beer drinker but hey, Im already there so might as well. :)
